Zimbulk Tankers, a large nationally-run logistics company, with a transport network that spans across Southern Africa, decided it was time to update and modernise their Pietermaritzburg office.
They wanted a complete new look and style as well as a new floor plan but without the hassle of having to manage builders, shopfitters, furniture suppliers and everything else that comes with a complete office overhaul.
This was our chance to showcase our turnkey offering. We approached the project in two phases – the first, to construct new executive offices to a high-end spec whilst the second phase saw a facelift to the admin wing, including the control room, kitchen and toilet blocks, as well as a new entrance canopy and LSF front wall fascia and total interior and exterior overhaul. This meant demolishing and stripping the existing offices and installing new ceilings, bulkheads, partitions, doors, aluminium windows, plastering and painting, laminate flooring, tiling and even plumbing and sanware. On top of all this, our team also managed the electrical, roofing, building, plumbing, and air-conditioning sub-contractors; delivering a shiny new office block ready for business!
