The Shospec team recently got involved with the iconic Rob Roy Hotel which has been transformed into a magnificent retirement lifestyle village. Yay for us! Overlooking the sweeping panoramas of the breath-taking Valley of a Thousand Hills, the hotel while still retaining the grandeur of its glory days, has been refurbished and extended with new wings added that house homes, apartments and a care centre to offer those in the later years of their lives a retirement facility seriously like no other.
In November last year, we were brought in as a subbie by Reed Simpson Construction at the phase 4 stage of the revamp to skim ceilings and install cornices to ensure the end look was modern and sleek. We are still on site but will be ready in time for handover at the end of May.
Suddenly our “twilight” years are not looking so onerous with facilities like the Rob Roy Lifestyle Village an option; no, we lie but are happy that grans’ and pops’ everywhere can have a happy space!
