It’s all systems go for 2017!

This year is already off to a flying start with several exciting projects on the go. We’re still busy with some of our Pietermaritzburg-based projects from last year such as the addition of a 1st floor Light Steel Frame (LSF) extension to Neil Wooldridge Motorsport workshop as well as working on the new multi-story hospital wing at Midlands Medical Centre and adding ceilings and partitions to the Department of Transport Licensing Bureau.

The office park development for the Department of Health at Townhill Hospital in Pietermaritzburg is one of the bigger projects we’re currently involved in. Shospec, D Construction & SMS Design architects are a joint consortium, known as the Townhill Office Park Joint Venture (TOP JV), providing a turnkey service to deliver three LSF office blocks to client that are completely ready for  them to simply move in and use.  This includes furniture, fittings, and even parking lots for an office park that totals around 3600m² on a site that is 12500m². This is a first for the Department of Health and is a trial for future turnkey supplier projects of its kind.

With a contract valued at around R70 million, this large-scale development is due to keep us busy for the next 12 months!
